Bret Raybould is a New York City comedian with an ever-expanding BCU (Bret Cinematic Universe).

In November of 2020, he released his debut hour comedy special “Bret Raybould Retires From Comedy.” The accompanying comedy album version of it debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts and had its worldwide premiere on SiriusXM’s premier comedy channel RawDog Radio.

After his comedy retirement, he briefly pursued a career in singing, and promptly released a jazz record entitled “Bret On Bublé.”

As its name suggest, it is a cover album of Michael Bublé songs, which Bret says he made “as both a tribute and a challenge to the great one… My way of saying ‘I respect what you’ve built’ but also ‘I’m coming for your throne.’”

The record went #34 on the jazz charts.

(To listen to it, visit the Bandcamp page where you can also purchase one of its trademark vinyls).

Bret Raybould is also The World’s First Publicly Traded Comedian. That’s right. With the issuance of his own publicly traded stock–BretCoin–and the launch of his own trading platform–BretTrade.com–fans are invited to “put their money where his mouth is” and invest in the upstart comic.

Starting with an IBO - Initial Bret Offering - of 100k shares valued at 50 cents/share- Bret is coming to market with a valuation of $50,000. Given (which is an absolute steal).

Given that he’s also the first comedian to ever release a FULL MANDARIN DUB of his hour comedy special entitled, any financial analyst worth their salt would agree his share price is an absolute steal.

(Alternatively if you want to support him through his Patreon, that is also more than welcome/appreciated; to do that click here).

But that’s not all! He’s even a man with - wait for it - TWO podcasts (oh la la).

The first - Just The Plugs – is a podcast devoted solely to the art and commerce of plugging. Each episode Bret will have a guest on to plug their Twitter, Instagram, podcast, whatever, and then he will wrap up the show. In this content-over saturated media market, Just The Plugs is Bret’s way of respecting the audience’s time by stripping the podcast down to its bare essence.

The second - Oh Dear - is a podcast focused mainly on bantering about current pop culture and toeing the line between what you can and can’t say.

He co-hosts it with two of the funniest comedians alive, Cristian Duran and Nick Whitmer, who are all quick to meet each other’s awful or inappropriate thoughts with a swift “Oh Dear.”

He makes up 1/2 of the Brothers Raybould sketch comedy group - along with his actual real-life brother and fellow comic Jordan. Their work has been featured in the AV Club, Funny or Die, and CollegeHumor.

Watch their Corporate Apology parody here or their REAL New Yorker characters here.

In 2021, he took first place in the Script Pipeline competition for a script he co-wrote with Cristian Duran called “Race: The Movie (it’s about race).”

Anyway, all of that - and more coming - makes up the BCU. Fans are welcome to debate which of his projects and releases are canon.
